Spanish and bilingual music of New Mexico. Sounds like the wind, rivers, bars, dancehalls and ranchos of the desert southwest.

Album Notes
Paul Pino grew up “free range” on the wide open prairie of New Mexico where his family has ranched for five generations.

His bilingual songs reverberate with the experiences and visions you can only encounter in the hard-bitten, cactus strewn, flash flooded, windblown, burnt, frozen, lost, hidden, secret, blizzard covered beauty of the high mountains and deserts of the Land Of Enchantment.

Musical influences include Spanish music, Mexican music, Chicano music, blues, rock, pop, country, poetry, folk music, the lilting melodies of the local Spanish dialect, the wind and the rain, the silence of the grasslands, the rattle of a snake, and the roar of a stampede.

Christy Pino

This is a wonderful album. I play it in my car and have listened to it several times. I especially love "Spanish Prayers" which is very moving and beautiful. I love the humor of other songs - Carrizozo, All My Inlaws are Outlaws, and When I was Young I was a Mexican.

M J Hobby

Such beautiful, touching lyrics in Spanish Prayers! A lot of humour in Carrizozo! & All My In Laws Are Outlaws. I like Ride the Range too, melancholy and so true about ranchers in general.

Dave Clark

Wonderful CD from track one to track eleven. One of the best new artist to hit the music scene in years.

Cathy Chavez

Spanish Prayers
Paul Pino's music is both wistful and soulful at the same time. His music tells a story that is both easy to visualize in your mind and feel in your heart.

Patricia Clemons

Ride The Range
Love the music, all heartfelt and beautifully written. Spanish Prayers is awesome. Margarita has always been a favorite of mine as well as Prenda Del Alma. Have fun!
