George Peguero’s new album “Bohemio”, better than ever!
George Peguero and his band bring us their second album “Bohemio”, a truly unique album with a rich Cuban flavour and an explosion of other musical styles from the Latin spectrum, from Merengue and Cumbia to Bolero.
George also draws on musical styles from outside the Latin world. The bonus song is a House version of Permitame and, yes, you will even hear George rapping on Yamaya!
The band is made up of musicians from Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela and the UK, and the heritage of each country is represented in this album.
As George comes from Cuba, his music has the feel of traditional Cuban salsa running through it, while at the same time contemporary in style. And he sings with a confidence which can only come from someone who has been singing since they were very young.
As well as showcasing his talent as a singer, this album also shows off George’s talents as a songwriter. All the songs are his own compositions, except Rain, which is a Salsa version of Jose Feliciano’s song.
“A fun and original dance music album” Que Pasa Magazine
“George is a charismatic flamboyant entertainer with a thrilling musical intelligence. “Yemaya” particularly is an outstanding crossover track that should get any salsa dancer’s feet twitching, regardless of which particular school of dancing or genre of salsa they normally go for." Dj.Rich (Salsa 4 All ,London)
Bohemio features twelve tracks, plus one bonus song.
