ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The story of Perelux

Since forming in Portland, Oregon in the Spring of 2003, Perelux has played locally and regionally at venues ranging from coffee housees and youth groups to colleges and festivals. They have also recorded an independent EP entitled "Breaking the Surface", which was released in May of 2004.

Fusing the Brit-rock influences of U2 and Delirious with their own modern rock sound, Perelux creates a unique style that is capturing the attention of many listeners. Intense, but not heavy. Emotional, but not melodramatic. Uplifting, but real.

BERGMAN CHISELPECKS

PLAY AND SING A JOYFUL NOISE
When the guitarist in Perelux was a small child he would often nap with his head in the bass drum at his Father and Uncles band rehearsals in San Diego. Since then life, fate, and circumstance has tried relentlessly to scatter those endearing family memories to the four winds. Irregardless, it would seem, that the strength of character, and the creative curiosity that was implanted in Erik, at a young age, is beginning to blossom into something more than just a heady notion. Perelux is pleasant to listen to on the surface, but there are some things under the surface, in-between beats, and breathing in the stillness that need to be contemplated and asked. Do we seek rock stardom, or do we seek God with our music? Keep up the good work boys!

Love it
Very upbeat with an awesome message in every song. Actually heard them live at my church in Portland, OR and bought the CD right away. I'm now on this site to buy some CDs for friends.

Unbelievable and Deep
You guys have been to my house before (played poker w/ Josh W. in Reno) Anyway, your CD is very inspirational and thought provoking. Keep up the good work and continue to spread the word through music.
