We enjoy our passion for creating music for family, friends and ourselves. Many of our songs come from conversations, dreams and day-to-day life experiences. We are thrilled to have produced our first CD, Stormy Nights for your enjoyment. We hope you like it as much as we enjoyed producing it.
All songs were written by David Stone (except: Will The Circle Be Unbroken). All songs were arranged and recorded by the Petaluma River Boys. All vocal and instrumental tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered in our homes. The Petaluma River Boys is a band of three Petaluma musicians recording and playing more than one instrument each on many of our songs. We are primarily a recording band. On occasion we play for live audiences.
Stormy Night songs:
Strut Your Stuff – was our first song recorded. We had fun with this song so we decided to continue creating songs together.
Nightmare – comes from a dream and a rough patch I experienced in 2012.
Will The Circle Be Unbroken – dedicated to my father-in-law, Wayne Lewis. He was a Dust Bowl survivor and an Oklahoma Panhandle wheat farmer.
Pretty Feet – dedicated to my half-sister, Sheri Avis. This song put a smile on her face.
Julianna – dedicated to Julianna Barrett. She is a good friend and wonderful mother to Chloe.
Heading North – dedicated to JoAnn and Toby Tyler and their cabin in Idaho.
Like A Gun – dedicated to the Occupy Wall Street protesters of October 2011 and to all Americans that felt the betrayal and sting of the banking industry, corporations and our government that eventually led to the Great Recession.
Wild Dog – dedicated to all you wild dogs out there roaming the roads during a stormy night.
All I Know – dedicated to Jane Stone.
You’re Trouble – dedicated to all our ex-girlfriends.
