Friends: Peter J Martin (guitar), Hamish Stuart (drums) and Brendan Clarke (bass) recently met up to record some of Martin’s compositions. The results of this live-in-studio get-together are elements of mainstream jazz mixed with free-form concepts (NuStream?).
Stuart and Clarke are well known on the Australian jazz circuit. Drummer, Hamish Stuart, has played with dozens of innovative musicians and popular bands in a range of genres and is one of the most sought-after, respected drummers in Australia.

Peter J Martin (PhD) studied classical guitar in Spain with Regino Sainz de la Maza and, at the opposite end of a stylistic spectrum, played free-form jazz in London with the group Caparius. For years he has been busy as an arranger/composer and lecturer in contemporary music composition. Recently he returned his focus to the guitar as revealed in this new recording.
