ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Peter Webster has found a fine line in reinventing songs you thought you knew, as well as creating engaging original material, and uncovering hidden gems from the folk tradition on both sides of the Atlantic. What stands out is his inventive guitar playing, and his expressive voice. These predominantly acoustic arrangements never fail to delight and sometimes surprise. He gives the Dylan song, 'I Shall Be Released' a wistful, calypso-style feel, whilst the traditional British folks song, 'Spanish Ladies' is overflowing with the redolence of the sea. His own song, 'Don't Think of Me', is invested with the pervasive memory of teenage passion. When there's a story to be told, this album tells it with aplomb.
