n 1: a crude incendiary bomb made of a bottle filled with
flammable liquid and fitted with a rag wick. Designed to set a structure on fire………that structure was the social fabric of a small Far South Coast Town. Then, from the fiery ashes emerged 5 blokes who stood up for what they believed and exposed this belief to their home town of Merimbula. Raised on a staple of metal, punk and rock, they soon realised their mission was to inject life into a dying community, to re-establish energy and excitement into the lives the people not dissimilar to themselves. Merimbula needed a riff injection, Petrol Bomb were there to provide it.
Armed with a set of unforgettable original songs, Petrol Bomb quickly developed a solid local following who soon established themselves as the unmistakable Petrol Bomb Army. Lead guitarist and corner post of The Bomb, Brennan, continued to work away, creating riffs that would soon ignite a new flame and with Bassist Rob, Sour on drums and the new vocals of Hughes and the thumping blues sounds of Mills on rhythm guitar a new sound and direction for Petrol Bomb quickly followed. Before Brennan could execute another spine melting riff of power and fury, Petrol Bomb were back, with a sound chunkier than ever.
Renowned for their high energy live performance, Petrol Bomb have shared the stage with bands such as 28 Days, Irrelevant, Marshall & the Fro, Calling all Cars, Dallas Fresca and Her Gentlemen and Percussion Junction.
With the release of their debut album ‘Deathride to Hell’ the Petrol Bomb Army are about to take over the world.
