ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
R&B gospel man Philip Noel is an artist with "something to say" and in this his debut album he proclaims it simply through songs like "Jehovah Is Our King" and "The Bridegroom's Coming". These arrangements are catchy and easy on the ear. With reggae, blues, Latin and R&B influences the effect is relaxed and engaging. With a touch of reggae you can't help but move to "Jesus Is My Reference". Then relax to the mellow sounds of "Faithfulness". The desire of Philip Noel's heart is clearly to proclaim that Jesus is Lord. This comes across as he leads the listener through these self-penned songs.

Philip's Debut album has captured his hearts desire, to let the whole world know who Jesus is, whilst glorifying God and telling the world how much he loves him.

The single release ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name, has recieved great reviews.

In 2002, just before Philip began an evangelistic crusade in Sweden, called Soul 100, he heard the voice of the Lord say “I am resurrecting Hallowed Be Thy Name.” Philip held onto the word and ran with it. Just two years later he had produced not just Hallowed be thy Name but a whole album called Something 2 Say.

Every song is clearly about Jesus, and this fits perfectly with Philip’s calling as an evangelist. And the word from the Lord, which came once he completed Hallowed Be Thy Name was ‘give the single away free’, this supports the desire to touch hearts and free minds.

Review by Bukky Olawoyin
This is an album that will take up permanent residence in many CD players, be it in the car or at home. It’s an easy combination of the reggae and blues genres and is guaranteed to find a welcome ear no matter your musical preference. Setting the pace with ‘Jehovah is the King’ and flowing into the faith reassuring tracks ‘Jesus is my reference’ and ‘Something deep down’, the album kicks off with a proverbial bang. ‘Faithfulness’ is a thanksgiving track about Jesus’ faithfulness, mercy and salvation.

Asked the vision behind Something 2 Say, Philip had this to say, "…Having identified that everything good in my life was birthed by the love of God, my desire has been to let the whole world know Jesus. The bible says the "…every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord".

Philip Noel is one of the founders of the greatly celebrated ‘Soul 100’. He saw the evangelistic calling in his life in the course of his job as an interview consultant for blue chip companies. He felt a strong urge to talk about the saving power of Jesus and how He makes a difference to every situation in peoples’ lives. Soul 100’s objective is to reach out to the lost and this is done through concerts and ministrations in different events.

Philip’s debut album has captured his heart’s desire, which is to let the whole world know who Jesus is, whilst glorifying God and telling them how much he loves God.

Something 2 say
Love it! Love it! Love it! This album is so refreshing to my ears, and so unique in many ways! It has the reggae touch calypso the socca and whatever works to make this album sound as good as it does! For me this is the best way for one to express the word of God, and to show one's gratitude to our lord for his goodness. Well done cuz!

Something to Say
With this album Philip really does have Something to Say! The lively, easy to listen to, tracks focus on the most important person, Jesus. It's hard not to sing along and even harder to keep your feet still as you praise the Lord along with tracks like Jesus is My Reference. Refreshing.
