Piquo is the type of music you discover in a Quentin Tarantino movie. In fact, Monobeings would make a perfect soundtrack for Kill Bill Part Trois. Call it Ukulele Rock with Olive Oyl at the mic and haikus for lyrics. Vocals are more melodic than the general cacophony associated with Asian pop though some words slip and slide and slur into the next and, the songs in Japanese are a little less listener-friendly for obvious reasons. At its best Monobeings reflects early 90's alt rock, something like Violent Femmes karaoke style.
