CANTOS DE BANDONEON :

Denis Plante plays the bandoneon, one of the famous concertinas of the double A series. Plante's creative project "Cantos de bandoneón" comprises of fourteen original impressionist tango works, inspired by his travels throughout Argentina. His profound interpretations are accompanied by the vibrant musicians of the Racines String Quartet. These delicate arrangements capture the true spirit of the tango: lyricism, nostalgia and passion.

THE PRESS

LE DEVOIR, 13/01/2006

“Plante plays bandonion with inspiration. His impressionist tango express a variety of intimate emotions, treated with fineness.”

RADIO-CANADA, ESPACE MUSIQUE, 12/03/2005

“Denis Plante found his place in a musical genre where it is difficult to forget the great shadow of Piazzolla. Playing the same instrument as the Argentinean master, Plante successfully created its impressionist tango.”
