Album Notes
On December 5, 1985 Eric Carbin was born in Oakland CA, at Highland Hospital. Eric first started listing to music to hip-hop music at the early age of five years-old reciting lyrics from Oakland based rapper Too Short and other artist such as the Beastie Boys, Run-DMC and many other artist. Eric first started showing signs of his rapping talent around the age of Twelve years-old. “ I use to walk to and from school everyday since the 8 th grade and just rap the whole way pretending I was signed to Death Row Records when 2pac and all of those artist where signed ”. At 14 years-old Eric began rapping with long time childhood friends Rick, Antoine, and Jason and formed the group P.P.C (Platinum Plus Clique) which was eventually founded on December 5th 2000 at Eric's 15th birthday party by Shaun Horn a representative of FamLuv Records.
The group then proceeded to work with the label based out of Hayward CA, recording a whole album which was never released do to business problems. Eric and the rest of the group found themselves back at point A just rapping on the porch in the hood of East Oakland California, Eric being one of the leaders in the group made sure the group stayed together and continued working on there craft. “I had to keep us focused on what our goal was and not setbacks that happened, I had to be the glue that kept us together for success” In July of 2002 that focus that Eric was talking about got the group recognized by a production team known as Rubbaboogie Productions.
The group began working on a demo with the production team and where starting to make a little noise on the Bay Area rap scene by doing shows and being featured in a news paper article that headlined P.P.C. could be the Bay Area’s next big thing. But once again tragedy truck the group hard when members of the group and family members where on there way to Texas and where involved in a car accident taking the life of two family members Sabrina and Adrienne.
The group proceeded to do one last show in their memory and then decided it was time to go another direction. In July of 2006 Eric went on vacation to San Diego CA, where he met with SouthWest Records president Juice and vice president Aaron. Eric signed to SouthWest Records in November of 2006 they have began recording tracks for his first solo effort which include the Hyphy Movement motivated track STUEY and the best of both worlds Memphis TN. meets Oakland CA, track entitled KING, Eric brings another dimension to a loaded SouthWest Records team. Eric says his influences are Lil Wayne, The late Mac Dre, Keak Da Sneak, T.I. and anybody who is really trying to be “ The KING of this rap game ” . You can expect big things from this Oakland bread artist from hyphy and party anthems to songs for the ladies and songs that touch home with a message.

“ SouthWest Records is in the building and we feeling ourselves in 2007 ”
