ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Twas the Night Before Christmas: Prime Time Voices for Children

31 of America’s top voice over talents tell the classic tale of Twas the Night Before Christmas. America's most recognizable voices, woven together to tell the tale that is becoming a Christmas tradition for radio airplay all over the country.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Jim and Callie Tasker

Jim brings us his original re-written, warm, funny, and slightly twisted version of a modern day Goldilocks. The setting for telling the tale is story time with his daughter, Callie. His adlib additions of cell phones, computer tablets, SUVs, and other 21st century staples makes this classic a story you'll want to listen to over and over again.

The Fox and the Crow: Rick Wasserman

Rick brings to life 4 different fables on our album with wonderful story telling and unique character voices.

The Princess and the Pea: Sylvia Villagran

Sylvia says she chose this story because it's the classic fairy tale. And yet, unlike other fairy tales, the moral of this story can be interpreted in many ways – that it’s not good to be hypersensitive, or judge a person by appearances.

Tortoise and Hare: Rick Wasserman:

Rick brings to life 4 different fables on our album with wonderful story telling and unique character voices.

The Adventures of Buster Bear: Zurek

Our one-name VO artist, Zurek, takes us on a one-of-kind journey with an interesting moral. Zurek tells us that he chose this story because he relates to one of the characters and learned early on that if you want to achieve something, you have to do the work.

Till's Changeable Horse: Bill Ratner

Bill selected an offbeat and funny story that he used to read to his own kids years ago. Bill takes us all on an enjoyable journey through this fun, what he calls, ‘trickster sort of tale’ that we think you'll love.

Frog and Ox: Rick Wasserman:

Rick brings to life 4 different fables on our album with wonderful story telling and unique character voices.

Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Clause: Kay Bess

Kay chose this story because, she says, "believing in things we cannot see is good for the soul. We may not ‘see’ Santa Claus, but neither do we see love, faith, charity... except in the good that those things leave in their wake. Mythology is an important way of communicating truth, REAL truth. That's why I love this story and wanted to tell it."

Town Mouse and Country Mouse: Rick Wasserman:

Rick brings to life 4 different fables on our album with wonderful story telling and unique character voices.

Peter Rabbit: Townsend Coleman

Townsend is best known as the voice of Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame and other great animated characters. He was first told the story of Peter Rabbit when he was 5 years old by his Dad, who he remembers as having all kinds of great voices and a terrific silliness about him. It was these fond memories that inspired Townsend to bring the story of Peter Rabbit to life for all of us.

The Emperor's New Clothes: Bob Bergen

Bob is known as the voice of Porky Pig and many other animated characters. Having played ‘Buckey the Squirrel’ in the Emperor's New Groove, Bob felt a connection to this story. Having parents who regaled him with stories all his life inspired Bob to become the story teller he is today. Bob’s motto is, “The script is a skeleton, my job is to give it a body.” The voice he chose for the Emperor will have you laughing out loud.
