Album Notes
Svein Joraas, the man behind EartHill started to perform in the late 60's in a Norwegian band called Flavius, later Salt & Pepper Band. The band Salt & Pepper was very popular in Norway in the 70's and 80's. Svein has written songs and lyrics since then, and the song Equal Share was written in 1985. However the lyrics is relevant even today.

Earth is jord in Norwegian, and Hill is aas in Norwegian. Svein is called Joraas. That's the reason for picking this name for the projcect. It is a deeper meaning behind the choice of this name. The lyrics is about the earth and it's future. We need to go uphill to make the world a better place.

Barrack Obama mentioned some of these issues in his Nobel Peace Prize speach when he was in Oslo. When Svein heard his speach, he found out that he had to record and release the song.

Listen and enjoy.
