ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A 7 piece vocal group (4 boys and 3 girls) who will play Live 07 at the O2 Arena Dome, London on Sat Nov 24 2007. We are: Alex, Anna, Richard, Livvy, Ryan, Shiv and Fenella. We come from London, Herefordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire and Warwickshire and we perform all our own stuff. This is our history so far:
- the auditioning for The Promise was featured by Bob Harris on Classic FM
- The Promise first maxi single "Hope for You and Me" sold 5000 copies making thousands of pounds for Scouts in Africa and their AIDS work. It was the Eurojam song.
- Brian May of Queen put The Promise on his website telling all Queen fans to buy in memory of Freddie Mercury
- in the last few weeks The Promise have had adoring audiences in the New Forest, Winchester Cathedral, and at the Kent Music Festival as part of Totally Wild, celebrating the centenary of scouting
- The Promise will open and close the TV programme to the world from Brownsea on 1 Aug at 8am, with two of our songs.

Never before will a Scout band have played live to so many millions of people in so many different countries all around the world!
