ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Psyche Corp. is a dark fairytale cyberpunk/steampunk band named after a dream manufacture group from a future where widespread neural implants have allowed people to jack their nerve endings directly into the internet and download dreams. Songs deal in dystopian themes as well as the surreal psychological landscapes of sleeping minds. The musical style spans genres; a recent song has mixed tribal singing with classical piano while embedding poliovirus DNA into its percussion. Our sound is best described as a mix of trip-hop electro-industrial rock and alternative world music.

Our fourth album, "Crypts & Codes" plays upon the idea of hidden messages and "skeletons in the closet". Some songs allude to the painful and shameful, others merely have actual code embedded in the composition. To clue in would-be decoders, you might want to think about Morse, DNA, interleaved 2-of-5 bar code, phone numbers in advertising, and read up on ancient Hellenic culture. For those who want to relax and simply enjoy the music, we assure you that none of these codes are actually noticeable unless you're looking for them--just like subliminal messages, or the voices in my head--wait, you can't see those even if you ARE looking for them, right? Right?
