Album Notes
This CD album of 10 songs would most probably not have been produced, had it not been for the kind generosity of an Argentinean businessman in London, who been a keen Home Studio musician himself, and upgrading to the latest Roland keyboard arranger, and been aware of my interests in music, made a tremendous gesture of giving me his existing Roland VA-7 arranger, in full confidence that it needed a good home. The timing of this (one of the greatest gifts I have received in my life) was perfect, as I had shortly before this, purchased a Yamaha AW1600 Hard Disk recorder. The combination of these two items gave me the ability to revive songs that I had written over the years, where no ideal opportunity to express them in some fulfilling way, other than incurring considerable expenditure for musicians and studio time that I could not afford, existed. The experience here is one on ‘Man- machine Symbiosis.’ And I think for these songs to be produced virtually in my living room, including the vocal tracks with the microphone exposed to all kinds of external environmental noise as opposed to a sound proofed professional studio, has still produced a favourable result. As for the songs themselves, their direction is omni directional, and crossover from Country flavoured ballad to Soulful Pop, Power ballad, Country blues, then up-tempos to dance, reggae and concludes with a romantic love song. I have produced this album with the accent on emotion rather than be technically perfect as possible, so I hope anyone listening will forgive any flaws that maybe apparent, as it was primarily my desire to produce the emotional quality of the song.
