ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Resilience is gained when you are knocked down by life, but you find the strength from God to come back stronger than ever. “Resilient by Love” is an album about finding that resilience through God’s love. Some songs are inspired by Rachel's life, while others express the resilience of those around her.

"All Things Through Christ," co-written with Producer-Drummer-Husband Greg Dampier, opens the album with the determination and strength to empower listeners. Tracks like "All I've Ever Wanted," "What God Sees," and "A Hero's Call" continue this message with edgy guitar riffs and memorable melodies. Rachel wrote the power ballad, "I Choose you" for a ministry event at a women's prison, but the message is a universal theme. "Here" and "Strong Heart" also represent the ballad side of Rachel's writing, featuring moving strings, dynamic piano and Rachel's passionate voice. These songs focus on God's unending love as an ever-present help in our time of need. "Love" is on the album twice, once as funky-fun John Mayer-type tune, and second, as an acoustic ballad duet with American Idol finalist Ricky Braddy. “Love” conveys the message of what true love should really be. "Nashville" is a strong, captivating piano ballad that reminds us of how we sometimes find ourselves in God after first losing ourselves in the world. The bonus track, "Grounded in Jesus," is a duet with Rachel's mother featuring advice about how to stay grounded once you leave home for the first time. All the songs convey an artistic expression of Rachel’s positive personality as an overcomer, deeply rooted in God.

Rachel wrote every song on the album, some with the help of Nashville co-writers Gary Baker, Pianist-Programmer Jason Dyba and Producer-Drummer-Husband Greg Dampier.
