ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"You have noticed that everything an Indian does is in a circle, and that is because the power of the world always works in circles, and everything tries to be round…”
Black Elk, Lakota

The Sacred Book, also called the Bible speaks of many circles. Ezekiel speaks of “wheels within wheels”. Isaiah says that Creator’s seat of honor or throne is “the circle of the earth”. According to Matthew, Jesus sat his followers in a circle around him. In Revelation an emerald rainbow makes a circle around Creator, along with the Elders who are also encircled by tens of thousands of spiritual beings called Angels. It is said that a circle represents eternity because it has no beginning or end.

The First Peoples of North America knew the spiritual power of this mystery, which they called the Sacred Hoop, or Medicine Wheel, or Hoop of Life. When the circle is complete everything is in balance, when the circle is broken everything is out of balance—and needs to be restored.

We believe Jesus restored the Hoop of Life that was broken by the first man—Adam, and then by all of his descendants. Jesus will bring everything full circle so that we can be the people he created us to be.

This is what was on our hearts as we recorded these songs.

Terry and Darlene Wildman—RainSong

About the song Holy Fire

This is what the Great-Spirit-Chief-of-Warriors has to say, “My name will be greatly honored among all nations, from the place where the sun rises to the place where it sets. All over the world, with good and pure hearts, nations will offer incense to my Name.” Malachi 1:11

The Anishinabe and most North American tribes burn four sacred herbs as incense; to pray to the Great Spirit, for protection from evil, for purification, and healing.

We believe Jesus blood purifies us from our bad hearts and wrong doings. We now burn these herbs in a symbolic way to honor the ancient ways of our people.

We are honored that Nancy Honeytree, who wrote, performed and recorded many songs and albums during the "Jesus Music" era of the late 60's and early 70's, helped compose and played her guitar on the song "Rivers of Destiny".

This project was produced, engineered, recorded and mixed by Terry M. Wildman.

Terry and Darlenes efforts with this CD are exceptional. I think in my heart it needs to win a Grammy or Nama award.

Hoop of Life review
The first time I heard the song' Hoop of Life' was live and it was very powerful. 'Grandfather's Truth' moved me to tears. I happily took the next opportunity I had to hear Terry and Darlene live again. We were anxious for the release of this album because these two songs created a beautiful memory. Since the CD was released last week, my family and I have been listening to this CD over and over. We are enjoying it over and over. It is uplifting, beautiful music that stirs your emotions. This is a wonderful collection of music offering praise to our Creator, His Son, & His Spirit. The music also inspires a desire to learn more about the Native Americans and their culture. Thank you to the Wildmans! This CD is a wonderful gift!

Blessings!
The song Blessing Ways is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. It's a melody straight from Heaven and moves me to the depths! I love Grandfather's Truth, Holy Fire and several others. I have ordered 5 extra CDs to give away because I want to share the blessings.
