ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jamaica Rewind was first submitted as a part of the annual Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Festival Competition. It did not make it to the finals. However, everyone who has since heard it, said it is their favourite and that it should have been the song to celebrate Jamaica's 50th Independence Anniversary. With the encouragement of family and friends, songwriter and singer Ray Charles Forbes decided to go to the next level by sharing his music not only with Jamaicans but with people all over the world. The compilation contains two songs. The first song "Jamaica Rewind" is a tribute people all over the world celebrating the spirit of Jamaicans since our independence. The second song "Colorado" is a touching tribute to the survivors of the Colorado Movie Massacre. When Ray Charles Forbes, heard the news, his heart was gripped with compassion and he decided write Colorado. Colorado is about our collective responsibility to keep ourselves, our children and each other safe.
