Album Notes
Rutherford B. Hayes is dead is a Acoustic Silly Geek Rock Power Trio (minus the drums) based out of Oak Park, California. We sing about Animals & random bits of pop culture. The members, Chris Donlon (guitar, vocals), Jason Krane (vocals, guitar), and Wes Lagattolla (bass, keyboard), have been friends since Kindergarten. The band officially formed in early 2000 after years of casual playing.

RBHID plays a form of alternative rock music known as Geek rock. This is a pop, punk, and rock mixture. Some other geek rock bands include Weezer, Nerf Herder, and They Might Be Giants. Some other influences include Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Built To Spill, Of Montreal, and Raffi.

RBHID was included as the hidden track on the Green Day Tribute Album, covering "All by Myself" with a rousing kazoo chorus at the end.
They have played at many famous clubs around Los Angeles, including but not limited to The Knitting Factory, Mr. T's Bowl, and the Crooked Bar - not to mention the too-many-to-count backyards and darkened allyways they've molested with their demented music.

Chris from RBHID is in another band called Chris and Mollie, who play in Santa Cruz. Check them out -
