Rat Rod Rodeo

Miss Holley King's

Rock-a-billy Review and beyond...

April 2006 Arizona

Local hep cat, Anthony Vincent, (playing the second most famous guitar in Arizona, Mike Condello's old guitar) got Miss Patti and Stew Hall together to put out yet another great rock-a-billy, surf infused collection of music for your listening pleasure. The new CD, "Rat Rod Rodeo" was released at the Bands On Grand & the Sinner's St. Patrick Day Party last month.

The cover features cool art work by Diablo and has ten rockin' cuts. The title track song, "Rat Rod Rodeo" is a great instrumental. I really like #9, "Mean Ramblin." as well. The Rhythm Dragons seemed to have sprinkled this collection with a touch of country. (Maybe living in Arizona has something to do with it.)

I must say, even though I have all their music, this is probably my new favorite CD by the trio. You can catch these hard working folks at the Rhythm Room, Icon Art Gallery, Soul Invictus Art Gallery and the Paisley Violin.

Anthony Vincent plays the best rockabilly guitar since Brian Setzer. If you're in Phoenix, go see these guys live!

Rat Rod Rodeo Rocks This Rodder!
Love this CD! Listen closely and you can actually SEE the slammed suede fat fender iron rumbling down the street. Closer still and you might even see my front engine dragster rolling up to the staging beams. The title tune is my fave but the others rock too. Very definitely a must have CD if you love rockabilly and car-tunes. Anthony Vincent and the Rhythm Dragons get it right.
