ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
100% of proceeds from this EP's sales will go directly to "Suas" a charity that supports the education of 14,000 children in Ireland, India and Kenya. This summer 2013, Rebecca will volunteer with Suas in Delhi, India as an English teaching assistant for 3 months in one of the most underprivileged primary schools of the city. By downloading Rebecca's music, you are directly supporting her fundraising campaign and the education of these children....thank you so much!

Rebecca is a highly experienced Irish soprano. Her pure and angelic voice has taken her across Ireland and around the world performing both solo and as a member of different choirs, bands and shows, such as Anúna (the original Riverdance singers) and Ragús (Ireland's biggest live music and dance show). Here is Rebecca's debut EP, a selection of her favourite Irish songs.

More about Rebecca:

Rebecca began singing at a very young age in the musical societies and choirs of her local area in Wicklow. At 10, Rebecca had her first major solo performance opening The Millenium Celebrations concert singing “One Voice” for a live audience of 10,000 people at The Point Depot, Dublin. At 11, Rebecca recorded her first album called “Wonder Child” raising £5,000 for a young boy suffering from Cerebral Palsy. Soon after, Rebecca was chosen as the under-study for the role of Cosette in the Cameron Macintosh Production of “Les Misérables” in Dublin.
Rebecca then continued singing in secondary school as well as learning to play the piano and Irish harp. Rebecca received a music scholarship in her school four years in a row and won vocal competitions all over the country during this time. As a teenager, Rebecca performed regularly as a soloist in prestigious venues across Ireland such as The National Concert Hall Dublin, University Concert Hall Limerick, The Point Depot, The Pavilion Theatre, Áras an Uachtaráin (Residence of the Irish President) and many more.
At the age of 17, Rebecca joined the world-renowned choral group ‘Anúna’, the original Riverdance Singers, with whom she has toured extensively across Europe, the U.S., Japan and China. Rebecca features on several Anúna albums such as Christmas Memories, Sanctus, Christmas with Anúna, Illumination and collaboration projects such as Blizzard Entertainment’s soundtrack to Diablo III, which sold 6.3 million copies in the first week of it’s release! Rebecca also appears with Anúna on DVDs such as Christmas Memories, The Orla Fallon Christmas Special, The Wiggles: It’s Always Christmas With You and Clannad Live at Christ Church Cathedral. Again with Anúna, Rebecca has appeared on many music videos and TV shows including RTE’s ‘The Late Late Show’ as well as for audiences of millions on Fox television, PBS and other broadcasters in North America and Japan.
Rebecca has also performed with; The Vocal Academy of Paris, Trinity Singers Dublin and the Rathmines & Rathgar Musical Society and trained classical singing for a period of time with Mary Brennan of the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and French from Trinity College Dublin, Rebecca soon decided to pursue her career as a singer full-time. Rebecca is lead vocalist with the pop/trad band “Perfect Friction” and is a founder of the female vocal trio “Babylon Sisters”, which focuses on extremely tight vocal harmonies and experiments with music across all genres.
2012 also saw Rebecca travel as lead female vocalist with “Ragús” the show on a sell-out tour to Holland and Belgium and record an album and DVD with “The Roots of Ireland”.
