ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rebel Pride
It Is What It Is
(RP 032005)
Every once in awhile, a band comes along that puts the “rock” back in Southern rock. Florida’s Rebel Pride is one of those. From the very opening riffs of “Stomp Your Foots” to the closing refrain of “Survive,” Rebel Pride kicks ass and burns their image into your brain forever. Sounding a lot like the original Molly Hatchet, with a singer that is part Danny Joe Brown and part Phil McCormack, these guys are the real deal. “Stomp Your Foots” is so good, it was chosen as the lead off track on the upcoming Gritz compilation Home Grown and Hand-picked. Red hot, rocking, sonic bombast

THE OTHER REBEL PRIDE BAND FAN(NORTH)

IT IS WHAT IT IS
VERY GOOD!! MY ONLY CRITIQUE, MAYBE A LITTLE TOO MUCH LIKE MOLLY HATCHET. I WAS AT FIRST PUT OFF BY THE BANDS NAME SINCE WE'VE BEEN ROCKIN' WITH "THE REBEL PRIDE BAND" OF MICHIGAN, SINCE 1988, BUT THESE FLORIDA BOYS DO SOUTHERN ROCK JUSTICE, AS WELL AS THE OTHER REBEL PRIDE BAND. ROCK ON REBEL PRIDE, NORTH AND SOUTH.

the best souther rock cd in years
this is simply the best southern rock cd in years.when you listening to the first track there comes to your mind Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, Skynyrd.but don't get me wrong, they got a sound of their own. Boys come on over to europe and people will love you...!

Real Southern rock is alive and well!
Real Southern rock is alive and well! This CD kicks off in 5th gear with "Stomp Your Foots," sounding like a high octane blend of the original Molly Hatchet, mixed with a dash of Skynyrd and a cup full of metal. I hear a LOT od Southern Rock CDs at GRITZ, and this is one of the very BEST!

The best independent southern rock band/cd of 2005
A little of Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Allman Brothers and Stevie Ray Vaughn influence, mixed with some great original material and talent, gives this cd, my vote, as best independent southern rock band/cd of 2005.This cd and band kicks major butt.

Great cd from start to finish. Skynyrd,Hatchet and Doc Holliday influences with a heavy metal and texas blues edge.

Ass Kissin' Rockin' Tunes - Smooth Southern Style
I have just found the joy of Southern Rock with the likes of Lynard Skynard, Hayseed Dixie and the like and checked out the internet for more of the same On the Gritz webpage I came across these guys and bought the CD - Now I can't wait for the next barnstormer from Rebel Pride. My fav song on this CD is 'Survive' its about the diminishing habitat of the Florida panther - I love that big burly men love the animals :) Anyway all the songs on the CD are pretty long which means you can get stuck in the music and carried away with the words. Very cool.
