Album Notes
Reflectiv is a project put together by Daniel Philippe, with Scott Lee, Steve Hill, and other musicians and singers. The idea behind it was to create music that would help people still themselves and focus on those important things which sometimes we neglect. And hopefully enjoy some beautiful music at the same time.

The album, Songs For Stillness, was two and half years in the making. The initial piano, bass and drums were recorded live in one long day at Ghostgum Studios, and much of it was improvised. Then these recordings were taken to The AMC Studio (in the front of Daniel’s house), and percussion, keyboards, guitars, vocals and violin were added. The final mixing was done at Aisle6 Recordings by Scott Mullane (who also engineered the initial recording), and mastered by Matthew Gray.

Daniel (piano, keyboards, percussion and guitar) has previously played in a variety of bands in styles ranging from jazz to funk to rock, including Tonjip, members of which later went on to form Grand Atlantic, who are gaining excellent exposure up and down the east coast of Australia and overseas.

Scott (bass) and Steve (drums) have played in other bands with Daniel, most of them quite forgettable! This is their first recording together.

When performing live, the band is joined by jazz guitarist Chris Hollier.
