ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Threads West is a #1 Best Selling novel and has won eight National awards.

The romance of America, her people, her spirit, and the West. The ongoing story of us. This first book and namesake of the eight-novel series is being compared by reviewers and authors to Lonesome Dove and Centennial. The tale bursts with the adventure, romance and promise of historical America and the West. The epic saga of Threads West begins in 1855 with the first of four richly-textured, complex generations of unforgettable characters. The separate lives of these driven men and independent women are drawn to a common destiny that beckons seductively from the wild and remote flanks of the American West. They are swept into the dangerous currents of the far-distant frontier by the mysterious rivers of fate, the power of the land and the American spirit. Their turbulent journeys are heartbreaking quests intertwined with romance and adversity, passions and pathos, despair and triumph. This is not only their story. It is our story. It is Threads West, An American Saga.

About the Author: Reid Lance Rosenthal, Bio Reid is fourth generation land and cattle. His cowboy heart and poet s pen captures the spirit of the western landscape and its influence on generations of its settlers. His long-standing devotion to wild and remote places and to the people both past and present who leave their legend and footprint upon America and the American West is the inspiration and descriptive underpinning of all of his writing. If your mind and spirit are seduced by images of windswept ridge tops, flutters of aspen leaves caressed by a canyon breeze and the crimson tendrils of dying sun...if your fingers feel the silken pulse of a lover and your lips taste the deep kisses of building passion...if nostrils flare with the conjured scents of gunpowder and perfume, sage brush and pine, and your ears delight in the murmur of river current...if your heart pounds at the clash of good and evil and with each twist and turn of interwoven lives you feel a primal throb, then I have accomplished my mission. ~Reid Lance Rosenthal Passion fuels each thrilling romance-packed novel in this widely acclaimed series and epic of the historical and contemporary American west. Reid s debut novel and the first book of the six-part saga has been compared to McMurtry s Lonesome Dove by reviewers and readers alike. Each ensuing book further unfolds the riveting, sensual, adventure-filled tale of a country on the cusp of greatness, personalities from uncommon origins and lives weaved into generational tapestries of lust, duplicity, enmity, love and triumph.

You'll be Hooked on this tale at your first listen to.......
I'm lovin' my brand new Threads West mp3 and again thank you so much for making mp3 available --- I've already listened to mine the day I downloaded it --- (and, yes, I've already read the book)..... I personally thought the audio version of Threads West was most excellent...I'm not sure if it's because its YOUR story and you told the tale with that in mind and you knew exactly how you wanted to tell it, or maybe it's your ranching/Western background so it seemed more "realistic". Honestly, I can't imagine someone else doing it. When you narrate your tale, images of your tale come alive as though it's happening right then. It just wouldn't seem right if someone else told the tale and I believe the tale would lose something. I say that because I have, in the past, listened to other audio books of well known authors and it seems as though the story loses something when a narrator tells the authors story and it seems that those are the books I would prefer to read rather than listen to. There are a lot of busy, busy people nowadays who would love to sit and read a book but just don't have the time and that's where mp3 (in my case that's what I prefer) or audio CD's come in. At any rate, this is one tale I truly enjoyed listening to.......
