Album Notes
Imagine yourself on an ocean beach, your senses filled with the timeless flow of the ocean. Crystalline waves curl and break languidly, sending foam hissing onto golden sands.

Just the pure high definition sounds of an Australian beach as the waves roll in. There is no music, no words - just the ocean as Mother Nature intended.
Absolutely stunning sound quality of the ocean waves as they hit the shore, coastal birds and the magnificent atmosphere of a remote Australian beach environment all on a CD. Playing this CD truly makes you feel as though you are sitting on a secluded beach in the middle of nowhere, drifting away to the rolling sound of the waves against the lovely white sandy beach and pebbled shores.

Recorded in the Southern reaches of New South Wales in Australia, you will only hear natural sounds on this CD from the far reaches of the natural Australian coast line. There is minimal bird sounds, and none of the 'annoying squawking' sea gulls that you hear on many other surf and beach CDs. It is just pure bliss to sit back and listen to this album in it's full.

Ocean waves, when recorded in such high definition audio as on this CD in particular, can have incredible effects on the mind and also the body. For the purposes of achieving deep relaxation, many people would agree that nothing beats the sound of gentle ocean waves as the sound cycles back and forth and across the frequency spectrum in a continuously pleasant motion. This is the perfect soundtrack to promote the deeper Alpha and Theta States of Mind essential for discovering more about one's own self through deep thought and meditation.

This album is professionally recorded with a digital mixer and a highly sensitive condenser stereo microphone. What you hear on the CD is like what you would hear if you were there in the wild. The right and left channels of the audio mix are panned so that it feels like you are in the centre of this pristine Australian surf beach.

Please don't be misled by inferior quality natural recordings. Andrew has been recording nature for over 2 decades and is considered by many to be the leading exponent in his field. His professional resume can be found here on his CD Baby artist page.

About the Authors:

Andrew is one of the world’s few professional nature sound artists, and his field work has taken him to remote wild locations from the Outback to the Himalayas. Together with his partner/photographer Sarah Koschak, he is well-known for their “Listening Earth” nature albums, which have been enjoyed by listeners around the world. His recordings have also been heard on film and TV, notably having been commissioned by Peter Gabriel for his soundtrack to “Rabbit Proof Fence”. Andrew & Sarah live in a bushland environment in southeast Australia, and are interested in researching the therapeutic benefits of natural sounds.
