ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Raindrops patter on the forest floor and drip from every gleaming leaf and fern. After the rain, the forest is cleansed and birdsong returns. This recording features the pristine sounds of the Australian rainforest and the symphony of birds, rain drops, distant thunder, and the ambiance of the ‘forestscape’. This is the perfect soundtrack to sit back, relax and experience in high definition the aural sensation of the rainforest in all its glory.

You may find this album makes it easier for you go to sleep, especially if you connect with the sounds of rain drops hitting the rainforest canopy and trickling down to the forest floor.

This album is professionally recorded with a digital mixer and a highly sensitive condenser stereo microphone. What you hear on the CD is like what you would hear if you were there in the wild. The right and left channels of the audio mix are panned so that it feels like you are in the centre of this pristine Australian wilderness.

Please don't be misled by inferior quality natural recordings. Andrew has been recording nature for over 2 decades and is considered by many to be the leading exponent in his field. His professional resume can be found here on his CD Baby artist page.
Recording Locations:
Goodenia Rainforest (South East Forest National Park, SE NSW)
Eurobodalla National Park, SE NSW coast

About the Authors:

Andrew is one of the world’s few professional nature sound artists, and his field work has taken him to remote wild locations from the Outback to the Himalayas. Together with his partner/photographer Sarah Koschak, he is well-known for their “Listening Earth” nature albums, which have been enjoyed by listeners around the world. His recordings have also been heard on film and TV, notably having been commissioned by Peter Gabriel for his soundtrack to “Rabbit Proof Fence”. Andrew & Sarah live in a bushland environment in southeast Australia, and are interested in researching the therapeutic benefits of natural sounds.

Very nice
This is a very relaxing CD. And it is very well done. The Forrest is alive before the storm,... you hear the natural sounds of the forrest ...as you hear the storm roll in from the distance. Then it starts to rain, and the sounds of the steady rainfall are very relaxing.
I have heard other nature-oriented \"rainfall\" cd\'s before, but this is one of the best.
Thanks.
