Album Notes
Gauguin Women is Retro Metro's first CD. Inspired by the music of Satie and Debussy and the Tahitian art of Paul Gauguin, Retro Metro set out to blend this myriad of styles into the modern cabaret sound. Blending Sid Page's violin with Bobbi Page's breathy vocals, and various instruments from around the world, Gauguin Women goes well with the date of your choice, low lights and a fine bottle of wine. You'll probably email the band in the morning and thank them.

Retro Metro is made up of three of Hollywood’s busiest musicians. Scooter Pietsch has written music for hundreds of film and television projects. He also has a thriving concert music career under the name H.E. Pietsch. Scooter writes and produces the music of Retro Metro.

Bobbi Page contributes the lush vocal sound of Retro Metro. She has been featured on many, many film and television soundtracks including Pocahontas, Good Will Hunting, Boxing Helena and Armageddon.

Listeners may recognize Sid's name, he was a member of Dan Hicks & The hot Licks and recently has been one of the first call violinists in Hollywood's highly competitive studio circuit. Sid has been featured on many of Mark Isham's film scores as well as on pop records from Prince, Michael Jackson, Harry Connick Jr. and Richard Thompson.

Retro Metro’s second album, “Undeniable”, is also available on CD Baby.

Awesome CD
I am veeery picky about pop/indie music, and I'm really impressed with this CD. It sounds great, sets a cool mood, and "feels" good, for lack of a better term. This band has their own sound, and that's not easy. Highly recommended.

Wonderful slow songs
A great album, all the songs are beautiful. Listen this album dancing with your partner and let you go to its feeling. So good job.
