ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Revivalists are a young and promising original rock group bursting with creativity and energy. With refreshing ability they play hard-hitting rock infused with soul, reggae, blues and funk. Their anticipated self-produced five song E.P, The Revivalists, is now available for your listening pleasure. Since forming in October 2007 the band has quickly risen to become one of the most talked about new bands on the New Orleans music scene. The Revivalist’s journey began when singer, Dave Shaw moved to New Orleans in August 2007 from Columbus, Ohio. One day, shortly after Dave’s arrival, guitarist Zack Feinberg was riding his bicycle around the neighborhood. Feinberg stopped in front of Shaw’s porch across from the cemetery upon hearing the enchanting singing tattooed fellow. They quickly became musical mates. Soon after Feinberg enlisted musical friends Mike Brun (bass) and Andrew Campanelli (drums) to start the reviving. Later on, young organ wizard Nick Offenberg joined the jubilee. The Revivalists are a raw talent eager to keep on growing. So get hip to this trip and jump aboard the Revivalist’s pleasure van.

new favorite band
I discovered the Revivalists when I visited New Orleans from NY and I heard "Soulfight" on someone's itunes and was really impressed and hooked to the song instantly. I am usually pretty particular and get tired of mediocre music quickly... since I have since gone to some shows and bought both CDs, I am fully satisfied that they are not only NOT mediocre, they are superb and one of the best bands I've heard in years. They are totally unique, have non-generic lyrics and hooks, and I would highly recommend their CDs and any CDs that they may come out with in the future. Can't wait to see y'all in NYC this Saturday!

The Revivalists E.P.
Caught an interview & some music on WWOZ -- bought the CD 30 minutes later. It's that good. The music is fresh and funky, and the musicianship is tight. These guys are terrific -- can't wait to hear some more from them!
