Album Notes
This record is the fifth in the line of the RGG Trio achievements; it was recorded on their tenth anniversary and it opens a new stage in their artistic activity. The record contains 13 pieces. Unlike in the previous two-record publication consisting in 100% of improvised music, here the musical matter focuses on the trio own compositions and these are attributed an entirely new framework. Here one can find pieces written by such musicians as: Richie Beirach, Carla Bley and the Norwegian Beady Belle duo. It has become a tradition with RGG to have at least two freestyle pieces on each record, which are developed in a studio. Hence "C.T." as a salute to Cecil Taylor, together with "On the way to road 11" which on the one hand opens the record, and on the other it opens, let's hope, another fruitful stage in the RGG Trio artistic activity.
