ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
First there was the Word, the mighty Word, the timeless Word, and the Word for all generations that alone can satisfy the hungry soul. And this Word walked among us, speaking beautiful truths of an age old mystery. Now, in the technological era that is the 21st century, this Word continues to pervade, perhaps with more intensity than ever before. One of the ways it is being communicated today, and arguably the most relevant, is through the medium of music. That being said, I refer to you the Ft. Lauderdale outfit, Rhema Soul. Members, K-nuff, Juanlove, and Butta P, the feminine soul of the group, shine forth with a lyrical prowess that many would agree is missing in todays hip hop shuffle. Their energetic live show has taken them all over the world, from Russia to South Africa to Lithuania to the Doby Hall in Scotland. The vision is pretty cut and dry, says emcee, Butta P; it is all about redefinition. Rhema Soul seeks to change the way you feel about music and the Gospel. And the results are refreshing, with a sound reminiscent of hip hops golden era, brought forth through the lens of todays unique times and culture. With jams ranging from the lighthearted to the soul quenching, these three emcees are providing the listener something to write home about. Ultimately, the heartbeat of Rhema Soul is discipleship, as the effects of the music go well beyond the parameters of sound and vibe. And their involvement in the local Body is, to them, of critical importance. Be forewarned. They are taking the Word to the streets. Rhema Soul... We got a word for your soul!

the album is a blessing and inspiration. I like every single track. I have to let you know, I have a sensitive ear for profanity and the 5 track the word s--t was used. The devil still tries to get or slip something in that's why we as vessels for Christ have to be on guard. Just thought you need to hear this because if you are doing anything for God, let it be for God all the way. Don't try to please God and the devil. The word s--t may be small but thats how the devil starts; smoke and then the blaze. KEEP IT CLEAN ALL THE WAY.PEACE AND BLESSINGS.

To JAMES : Misunderstanding
Hey James, this is Butta P from Rhema Soul. Just wanted to clarify something to you and anyone else who reads these postings.

We NEVER or have EVER used any profanity in our music. I'm sorry if you may have misheard something in track 5, "It's All Love" But I can assure you that NO PROFANITY has made it's way onto our album. If you want we can email or post the lyrics to this song just so you are completely sure. We really wanted to clarify this ASAP. We completely agree with what you said, but I can assure you, that our walk and foundation is soley based on our saviour. No compromising here! Hopefully this has cleared this up! Please hit us up if you have any further concerns! God Bless!!!

Remember when hip-hop was good?
Well this album is a time machine that takes you back to the Golden Age of hip-hop. Rarely do you see a combination of tight beats and strong Christ-centerd lyrics come together so eloquently. This is a reminder of the way hip-hop used to be before riffraff like Souljah Boy poisoned the industry. The message in this music proclaims the Gospel without being corny, which is a difficult task for many Christian artists. The lyrical craftsmanship presented in this album can rival any of today's secular acts, but make no mistake, their lyrics stay true to the word of GOD. "Worn Soles" has achieved what I call "the trifecta" it entertains, it educates, and it enlightens. What more can you ask for? Get this Album B!

Definitely got soul!
This is a cool, easy listening holy hip-hop offering. Don't sleep though, they bring the heat and all types of flava, not just on CD but on stage too. Their songwriting is very imaginative and on-point spiritually. Plus they are down to earth and keen with the Word. Cop it!

A Nice One !!!
From The Digable Planets to the Fugees the group called Rhema Soul has continued in the tradition of a two man one woman collective offering listeners thought provoking lyricism over a variety of soundscapes provided by both near and far producers to give a cohesive and thorough effort for both hip-hop and not so hip-hop heads through the album "Worn Soles". There is something for everyone with tracks such as "I Been" and "Right There With Ya" for classic hip-hop lovers jams like "Attention" with that club vibe, "Back Home" with that Southern flare and taking us back to the essence of worship in "All You Are" just to name a few but don't take it from me check it out for yourself. A nice one to have for the collection go cop that!

Diverse (BUT!) the real thing!
It's not often u hear a group like Rhema Soul who is soooo diff. from the "popular" artists even amongst the CHRISTian rap game, but on their whole-own-level still brings the lyrics SOOO real, n oh-so heart felt!
