ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Storm In The Cosmos is the ultimate dream fantasy come to life in sound! I love imagining what could happen if a huge alien spacecraft lands on earth one day and chooses me to come with them to have a front row panoramic view of the Universe from a comfortable chair on the main deck of the craft. Somehow I negotiate passage for my family and a few choice friends so there will be no loneliness or sadness. "We travel at the speed of 186,000 miles per second ( the speed of light). Yet it is not until we have travelled at the speed of light for 100,000 years that the entire spiral shape of the Milky Way is recognizable. Five million years after beginning the journey, the Milky Way is seen as a part of a cluster of about 30 galaxies known as 'the local group.' Each galaxy is composed of billions of stars... we continue deeper into the Cosmos... finally, after 10 billion years, we decelerate and pause to observe a theoretical view of the Universe's large scale structure. We see countless billions of galaxies, separated by enormous regions of empty space. It is a spectacular tapestry so vast and diverse in it's design that the power of it's Creator must truly surpass all human understanding." This album is my way of sharing this idea with you.

My heartfelt thanks to Ha Kodesh Baruch Hu who listens and helps us every day. Special thanks to Rabbi Anchelle Perl of Chabad for tolerating my jokes during our weekly on line Torah class. Your wealth of soul and knowledge serves all of your listeners well.. I look forward to your class every week.

Many thanks Krish D'Costa of 6Sigma Communications. I'm truly honored to work with you and write the film score for your futuristic political thriller filmed in Mumbai India, "Sel Jai Vettori."

To Erik Hudson for amazing me with his constant barrage of films and for all the work we are currently scoring for his Hollywood horror thriller, "Geraldine."
I was scared just conjuring up music for the film.

To Steven A. Mobley, my friend since the 4th grade for designing a third consecutive album cover for me. Steve is a serious artist and studied at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. I've always been in awe of his talent. Steve is the coolest cat out there!

More thanks to the very special and talented musicians who appear on this album...Thank you Zeno Messis & Luck Rodriguez. You are brilliant songwriters and I love working with you guys. We often struggle but we always get serious results! These guys are so talented and gifted and are tremendous artists in their own right. Hey Z MAN! You are the best!

Thanks also to David Nassim, my best friend and the smartest guy I know.

To Caryn (Rabbi Perl introduced us years ago and still has his shoes shined... Listen, I'm taking you to "The Chosen" Kosher Chinese joint next time I'm in town, ok?). Caryn, you will always have a permanent place in my heart. You've been such a great and loyal friend to me. Let me guess...You are eating an Apple right now as you are reading this, right? Whatever!

Finally, endless love to my entire family. My nieces and nephews bring such joy to my life (Jessica, Jared, Josh, Russell, Rachel). My brother in laws Craig and Tommy are truly cool dudes and I enjoy their company. My three sisters, Carol, Susan, and Shelley make my life interesting!
My darling mother Sandy Bennett Ruttenberg believes in me and encourages me to persevere always. Thank you, Mom. You are a magnificent musician. I believe in you, too.

I'm grateful to my friends and fans out there in the world. Keep your chin up, fight the good fight, and look beyond yourselves and the clouds! It will all work out. My love to all, Richard
