Storm In The Cosmos is a bad ass album from start to finish. imagine having a panoramic view of the Universe from a comfortable chair on the main deck of a spacecraft. We'll travel at the speed of 186,000 miles per second ( the speed of light). Yet it is not until we have travelled at this speed for 100,000 years that the entire spiral shape of the Milky Way is recognizable. Five million years after beginning the journey, the Milky Way is seen as a part of a cluster of about 30 galaxies known as 'the local group.' Each galaxy is composed of billions of stars... we continue deeper into the Cosmos... finally, after 10 billion years, we decelerate and pause to observe a theoretical view of the Universe's large scale structure. We see countless billions of galaxies, separated by enormous regions of empty space. It is a spectacular tapestry so vast and diverse in it's design that the power of it's Creator must truly surpass all human understanding. This album strives humbly to add musical color to that painting.
Sincere thanks to Steven A. Mobley, my lifelong friend, for designing a third consecutive album cover for me. Steve is a graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. I've always been in awe of his talent. Steve has imagination! Thank you, brother.
Thanks to the very talented musicians Zeno Messis & Damien Rodriguez. Appreciate you guys working with me very much indeed.
From the heart I thank David Nassim of Hyde Park Mouldings. Davie is the smartest guy I know. He helped to resurrect my music career with a more than generous gift. Forever grateful to you, Dave.
Finally, endless love to my entire family, especially my darling mother Sandy Bennett Ruttenberg who believes in me and encourages me to persevere always. Thank you, Mum. You are a magnificent musician. I believe in you, too.
I'm grateful to my friends and fans out there in the world. Keep your chin up, fight the good fight, and look beyond the clouds! It will all work out. My love to all, Richard
