ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Richard has been playing guitar since age 13. He is a self taught "Atkins style" or "fingerstyle" guitarist. For the past thirteen years he has toured all over the US and in Europe playing concerts. As a result of his playing, Richard has won over 60 major awards including "Instrumentalist of the Decade" with the International Country Gospel Music Assn.

He is a regular performer at the annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society in Nashville and has shared the stage with Roy Clark, Sonny James, The Oak Ridge Boys, and many of the top southern Gospel groups.

This CD was recorded as a tribute to Chet Atkins. The songs were played in the style of Chet. Someone stated that Chet Atkins' style was captured in this project. Many of the songs are southern gospel or old "Camp meeting" tunes.
