Pianist/composer Rich Switzer has been entertaining audiences in South Florida for the past fifteen years. His four CDs of melodic piano instrumentals have made a significant mark on the New Age/AC market.
Rich's debut release, Quiet Storm, was picked up by national distributor DeVorss and Company and was also sold through live performances in book and music stores, health food stores and spas. Dr. Wayne Dyer, world renowned author and speaker, chose Rich's music to showcase in coordination with his West Palm Beach radio interview and speaking engagement. Sarah Ban Breathnach, author of the Oprah Book club selection "Simple Abundance", called Quiet Storm "beautiful" and thanked Rich "for offering such pleasure". With the help of local radio promotion, over 1000 copies of Quiet Storm were sold.
Rich's sophomore project, Soulmate, was equally successful and caught the attention of veteran producer Charlie Callello. (Barbara Streisand's "The Main Event", Engelbert Humperdink's "After the Lovin'" are just two of his numerous projects) Mr. Callello gave Rich total creative control of an ambient/mood music project for JC Penney. The result was two CDs, Meditation and Stress Relief, which were sold in department stores across the country.
Live performance continues to inspire new fans and to motivate Rich in his musical growth. He has personally initiated tours of South Florida Border's Books and Music Stores to rave reviews by both the customers and the management.
