ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These songs were all taken from 45 rpm records and digitally re-mastered. You will hear the smooth voice of Rick Sikes singing his country ballads and in contrast, his brother, Bobby Sikes (Track 10) takes you back to the birth of rockabilly. Den of Sin (Track 3) was a #1 hit in Denmark in 1964. Valley of Tears (Track 2) charted on the West Coast. This was a time when honky-tonk music ruled and this band was the hottest band in Texas during the 1960's and into the 1970's. Rick Sikes was convicted of bank robbery in 1971 and sentenced to seventy five years in prison, thus halting this era of his music reign. But, it wasn't the end.....
