RICKY "BONECRUSHER" WILCOX....From the power-pop heartland of Chicago and Cincinnati (D'Thumbs, Theatre, Punk) to Florida and the eastern US and Japan (the infamous Deloris Telescope), multi-award-winning drummer / strummer Ricky Wilcox's Beatlesque songs have helped make his bands regional faves for years.
With Deloris Telescope, Ricky won two consecutive "Jammy Awards" for best drummer in the state of Florida. Deloris Telescope was hugely successful on the club and concert circuits, touring constantly (sometimes up to 300 days a year) and garnering regular rotation airplay on major radio stations.
Ricky has settled in Tampa Bay where he has just released his newest solo CD "monkeyshine" (Downtown / Pupstar Records) on which he wrote all the songs and plays most of the music. He currently sings and plays guitar with his original band The Moonsnakes which features Raiford Starke (guitar), Stevie Grandmaison (bass) and Jeff Wood (drums). Ricky also bangs the drums with Big Cypress recording artist Raiford Starke.
In 2003,Ricky was endorsed by Silverfox Drumsticks / Grover Pro Percussion and was invited to play as a featured performer for 10 days at the German-American Volksfest in Berlin, Germany. Capping off the year after releasing "monkeyshine" in September, Ricky filmed scenes as a band member in the major motion picture The Punisher starring John Travolta, due to hit theatres in April.
