ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Rita Shamie has put together this salute in order to honor the foresight and courage of our great President Abraham Lincoln.

Hear Rita deliver the moving "Gettysburg Address" to Drum and Flute background. Actually get a copy of the speech on the CD Jewel Case, and then listen to Rita's emotional vocal rendition of the stirring "The Battle Hymn of the Republic".

This CD is a small token of the love and repect Rita feels for Lincoln who she calls "the incredible human being who brought us to where we are as a free country today". It is also a salute to our brave Men and Women fighting on another front to keep our world safe.

Patriotic Grandma Rita, truly born on the Fourth of July is a "Yankee doodle Grandma" who invites any and all Parents, Teachers, Grandparents, and Students to share this CD with younger children. It makes a perfect gift in honor of Presidents Day, the Fourth of July, Veteran's Day, and is exceptional in that it is an entertaining educational tool as well.

Please join Rita in this celebration.

IT'S AN HONOR
For me, a vet, it was a honor and a priviledge to hear Rita deliver the "Gettysburg Address". I've heard it many a time, but never quite with the feeling she gave it. Then when I heard her sing The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and knowing she dedicated this CD to all soldiers fighting on battle fronts today, I had to stand up and give Grandma Rita a cheer. Thanks for rememering us, Grandma Rita. Three cheers for the Red White and Blue , Three Cheers for you, and God Bless the U.S.A.

I have never heard a better and truer performance
This is my fourth purchase from Grandma Rita. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this new CD. As a new American citizen of the United States, I now appreciate Lincoln's awesome speech and finally understand its true meaning.

The cherry on the whipped cream is Rita's performance of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. I have never heard a better or truer performance of this song. I have purchased one CD for me, one or my mother, and plan on giving them to many of my friends and relatives. Listen and love it, Thanks, Rita, you did it again.
