Hot as can be!
Having practically worn out Rita Hosking's earlier CD "Come Sunrise" I wondered if "Burn" could move it out of the CD changer. Well it did, from the first smoking moment! The varied and rich texture of each song carried by her astounding voice clearly puts her at the top of the list of current singer/songwriters. Each tune requiring repeat playing to catch all the detail and feeling. For anyone wanting contemporary songwriting with traditional style this CD will light you up!

One of the Year's Best
With the release of Burn, Rita Hosking has established herself as one of the best in the genre. From top to bottom, this is an excellent CD - brilliantly written, well played and sung with deep conviction. There is not a single song to serve as a filler and plenty that should go down as all-time favorites. Burn may take a few listens to expose its brilliance, but it will likely stick in your player and cause you to simply leave it in for another play. I listen to hundreds of new CD's each year and this one will most certainly make my Top 5 of 2011 - maybe my Top 1. Its just that good.
