Album Notes
Rita began singing Officially in the year 2007 but before then, she was known primarily as a writer. And though she was in the choir for close to 10 years and sang for leisure, she never thought she'd heed God's call to sing professionally. She comes from a family of creative people and developed her talents of writing and singing at an early age. She joined her School's debate team in Secondary school and won several awards. She entered for the Commonwealth write-around-the-world competition and won in 2003; she also won prizes for the best student in French and Literature and came amongst the best three, all in her Seniour year. She took to writing short stories and poems and would give these stories out to her friends and even those she didn't know as gifts. With all of these achievements she continued to write broadening her skill to writing worship songs as at this point in her life she began to take interest in Praise and worship.

Rita got admission to study English in the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State in the year 2003; a move so many applauded as they were already familiar with her skill in writing. At this time, Rita began to sense God's call on her life to go into Ministry, music in particular and though she waited to really determine if this call was from God, she loved music so much taking this passion from her father who is also a music lover. Growing up, she was influenced by the music of Enigma, Bob Marley, Wally Badarou and the like. She was indeed convinced that God had called her when she found herself in a music studio, in the bid of looking for a colleague at school. This same studio - EL-SOUND STUDIO - was to be where she'd begin work on her first album titled "Beautiful".

"Beautiful" was Officially released on the 12th month of 2007 and people received a beautiful shock as not many of them knew she could sing. They saw her in the choir singing but never envisioned she'd release a solo project; what's more, her singing style was something that was entirely new in her immediate environment. The songs on "Beautiful" were written years before it's release date, some songs written in 2004 - 2006. Rita has always referred to "Beautiful" as a collection of love songs to God. The songs on this Project are soul-touching from the title track itself down to the much-loved "Adoration" which is a simple yet powerful chorus that many have identified with.
The year went by and Rita continued to study whilst writing new songs but she wasn't in a hurry to release a new CD. As she's always emphasized, she writes songs with meaning.

In 2008, Rita released her first teaching CD "What will people Say?" under CLOUD MEDIA followed by her first single "Your Will be done" in 2009. Within 2009, she began work on her second album "Anna" which many have praised as wonderful and soul-touching and which Rita has described as the story of broken lives.
When not working, Rita loves to spend time with her family, friends and pets and indulge her favourite activities of singing, writing, and playing away on her guitar. Rita's passion in life is to see broken lives restored and released out to freedom.

Rita Pam's music rocks
I met Rita in Abuja last year on one of her trips. It was not her smile that captivated me (she does smile sweetly), it wasn't her sweet smelling perfume or her beautiful gorgeous face. It was her sweet personality that draws people to her like a magnet. I was blessed to have met her one on one
