ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Riverside, formerly known as Riverside Avenue, was formed around 1980 and played until their breakup around 1990. We played in clubs, fairs, and other venues all around mid Missouri and Illinois, sometimes playing 50 out of 52 weeks of the year. We had a great fan base that followed us wherever we played. Some of those same fans follow us today. We stayed out of circulation until 2001, when the last three active members got back together. Today Riverside consists of Steve Brookshier bass, Mark Butler guitar, Mark Raufer drums, and added keyboard player, Louis Clark. Since work and family only enable us to play one or two times a month, we decided to record our own original tunes. The CD Simple Life is the result of that effort. Because of our differences in age, and talent, we have a unique blend of rock, soft rock, and country rock, all on the same CD. We didn't want to be labeled as only one style of music. There is a blend that should fit almost any taste. We hope you listen and enjoy our music. I don't think you will be disappointed if you purchase the CD.Part of the proceeds are going to The Relay for Life and MS Foundation. So far we have donated over $720. HELP THE CURE! Thank you Riverside

Great Memories From 1982
I knew Steve and Mark from years ago when they were 'Riverside Avenue'. They were great then, and continue to be great. I enjoy listening to them and Burnt Toast. Would love to see Steve play in person again, but don't see any play dates for 2010 for either Burnt Toast or Riverside. Keep up the great work guys.
