ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The original score for Murdoch Mysteries is a combination of new and old; instruments that were common at the end of the 19th century are processed through modern filters like ring modulators and delays to give the show it's unique sound. Composer Robert Carli masterfully uses small ensembles that were popular in parlours of the day: strings quartets, piano trios and small groups of woodwinds. The result is music that expertly sets the mood for this award-winning drama focused on forensic sleuthing at the dawn of the age of invention.

Opening Theme
My husband and I watch the programmes over and over again. Not only are the programmes good but the music is wonderful. It has there air or spookyness about it. Well done. My husband would love a copy of it, so that he can play it at work.
