ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Robert Hurst present the trio ensemble entitled Unrehurst. This gathering of young semi-undiscovered talent Robert Glasper and Damion Reid reflects a vernacular of modern and traditional culture and is the inspiration behind Hurst’s third disk as a leader and his first release on his own label Bebob Records. A blowing session in the tradition sense, the audience experiences the impromptu collaboration within an inventive territory. This project features four original tunes by Robert Hurst and four original tunes by Robert Hurst and four original tunes by Robert Glasper. The format for documenting these tunes was simplified to brief rehearsals and recording within the first two takes. These adventurous young warriors with nothing but music on the to-do list launch a vehicle UNREHURST, to document their ever developing sonic signature.
