ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Robert has been a vital part on the west coast jazz scene since he began performing and recording in Los Angeles in the early 80's. He has released seven solo albums featuring original compositions performed primarily on his soulful tenor saxophone. In addition to his own shows, Robert tours worldwide as the band leader and musical director for blues diva Linda Hopkins' band, and also performs in her highly successful "Wild Women Blues" stage show. The composition "Pocketful 'O Trouble" from his album "Blue Winds" is featured in an episode of the T.V. show "E.R.". See yourself reflecting this image thoughtful, mindful of others
You are driving alone on a freeway late at night Blue Winds
CD is playing, you and the music your focus is on getting home and the highway seem long and isolated. When the sounds of the Harmonica and Sax play its
like a slap in the face are you still their? (yes
listening!!) Before you know it you are at your destination, which is at home, I must say safe.
O yea, refreshed, alert. This is good music !!!

This record is irresistible, you just enjoy!
...these guys are into having fun and wailin, and rockin, and, well, helping the listener to admit that a little light relief, and foot-tapping that occurs all on its own, is really OK. Highly recommended for letting your hair down, and admitting that you just want to be happy. One thing is for sure, you will not find yourself nodding knowingly, you'll be too busy bopping!
