ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
My musical influences are many and varied, and include styles ranging from Spanish guitar to punk rock. I like intense music with strong lyrics, and I also appreciate humour. Old favourites include The Kinks and Captain Beefheart. Recently I have been listening to Bloc Party and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's.

You Are Here was recorded in Melbourne, Australia with Craig Pilkington and Dave Foley who have played together for many years in the Killjoys.

As well as writing songs, I do the vocals. Generally I go into the studio with everything worked out in my head, apart from drums and bass. Craig picks up guitar parts very quickly, and if I'm having trouble finishing something off he always comes up with a good idea. Craig and Dave put down the bass and drums at the end.

DJ Jane Elizabeth, of WMTS Tennessee, describes You Are Here as 'a special, unique type of straight-up rock and roll, full of intriguing lyrics and odd twists and turns - very enjoyable music.'
