Album Notes
Robi Kahakalau, Keiki o ka `Aina:

One of Hawaii’s favorite entertainers, Robi Kahakalau, or, as many of us call her, "Sistah Robi," continues to excite audiences at home as well as abroad with contemporary and traditional Hawaii songs which reveal her love for Hawaii’s children, the land and life itself.

A constellation of Hawaiian mega-stars - Keali’i Reichel, John Cruz, Fiji, Sean Na’auao, Cyril Pahinui, Shawn Ishimoto, Kekuhi Kanahele, Na Leo, The Makaha Sons, and Ka'au Crater Boys, joined Robi in the making of “Keiki 0 Ka 'Aina (Children of the Land).”

From originals such as "Na Mo'olelo Kahiko," which encourages children to listen to the ancient stories of Hawaii, to all time favorites such as the beautiful, "Nani Ko'olau,” and the delightful “Na Lei O Hawaii,” recorded in the 1950’s by Robi’s father, the celebrated jazz bassist, Robert Kahakalau (Pops Carter), the feel good vibes of “Keiki 0 Ka 'Aina” provides sweet glimpses into the rich and vibrant heritage of the native people of Hawaii as it lifts your spirits.
