Album Notes
Originally written for a talk series on "The Law of Attraction" by David Owen Ritz for the Center for Positive Living (you know what I mean if you've seen the the Movie "The Secret.") When first performed with only the piano and live arranged harmonies it got a standing ovation. I wanted to write something simple and so I was intrigued by the ironic simplicity of the words of John Lennon from his song "Love." Not only did his ideas seem to channel through to me, but his presence was also strongly felt during the writing, laying down of the tracks and arranging the demo. In my ears I would hear Lennon say, "You've got to say it, say it again and then put a rest between each word and say it again or they'll never get it." I know it sounds weird, but that's what I heard, and it made for a better arrangement when I followed his direction on that and a few other things. Later, I got into the whole production thing and had a field day with over 30 tracks of vocals alone and other swirling stereo effects. I threw in the live accordian at the last verse for fun. Thanks to David Hubbell on Bass and Tory Cross on the Backing Vocals.

Give...Love Again and AGAIN Strads of piano and heart beat start this song about Love...timeless.Strings accentuate the vocal sentiment that is subtly enhanced by the rhythm section that builds into a chorus of return....with the tinny radio announcer in the background that gives the News gravitas to the Sentiment. The vocals and harmonies are expertly layered with the sound of a harmonica that adds create a bouquet that some cynics would sneer at but IT WORKS BECAUSE IT IS TRUE....LOVE ALWAYS LOVE....SHOUT IT FROM THE MOUNTAINTOPS.
