Album Notes
Coining their name from a running joke on Seinfeld, Pennsylvania natives Rochelle Rochelle are a post-hardcore band with a style that combines catchy riffs and melodic choruses reminiscent to that of Silverstein and Atreyu. The band consists of childhood friends Louis Dejoie on vocals, Cory Hahn on drums, Justin Turnbaugh on rhythm guitar, Eric Garretson on lead guitar, and Marshall Myers on bass. In October of 2012 the band released their first single “Ba-becka”, a song that consists of lead guitar riffs similar to that of Senses Fail layered on top of Atreyu-inspired rhythm guitar work and a very contagious chorus. When asked about their eclectic sound the band states “We all have a widespread range of influences and tried to combine our tastes to create something we all loved.” Their combined effort resulted in their debut EP “Mere Exposure” which is set to be released on April 20, 2013 along with a new video for their second single “Sailor’s Delight.” Of the new single, fans should expect something different in comparison to “Ba-becka” however Rochelle Rochelle would like to point out they are not ditching the band’s signature sound. As for their EP “[Fans] can expect a little bit of everything. We really melded all our influences together. I think there is something for everyone there.” With their critically acclaimed live shows forging Rochelle Rochelle’s path to success the band expresses excitement towards their future. “Our future plans consist of us releasing our EP, getting out there, giving it all we can, and having fun doing it.”
