ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
One-man studio band Roddo Fab Industries returns with a George Harrison meets T.S. Eliot theme. I was inspired by various poems by the famous Eliot , reflecting both a sense of wariness, and yet, ultimate optimism and faith. The tunes vary from toe-tapping Merseybeat , to reflective, poetic, Harrison- inspired melodies. To get the vibe rolling, here are the lyrics to the opening song :

T.S. the sunlight shattering a broken stone
Ahh, yes the dry wind rattles at the royal throne
Kingdom of light - you stand peering at the gazing grain
Shadows of twilight - creep creep creeping at your window pane

This is the way that your Fate unfurls
With jagged hopes and cultured pearls

This is the way that the Kingdom curls
Effigy of an expectant world

Heads full of hay they won’t listen to a word you say
Thousand-year day you seek the meaning in a sky of grey

This is the way that your Fate unfurls
With jagged Hopes and cultured pearls

Pensive land rugged old hamburger stand
At five o’clock in the morning something so grand
The Merry-go-round spins Properly Manned
Glowing Sienna orange the way it was Planned

Cats’ feet hear them trample over brittle grass
Don’t speak the umber leaves are steeping in your glass

This is the way the Kingdom curls
Effigy of an expectant world

Pensive land rugged old hamburger stand
At five o’clock in the morning something so grand
The Merry-go-round spins Properly Manned
Glowing Sienna orange the way it was Planned

T.S. the sunlight shattering a broken stone
