Album Notes
“Three Kisses for Jenny” began life as a Suite for the Benelong Players (Flute, Guitar and Cello Trio led by Brian Strong) who performed it regularly at the Sydney Opera House. It was originally (an unimaginatively) called Three Country Dances. Later in 2000 I orchestrated the work for the English Chamber Orchestra who recorded it for my album The Revealing. This recording coincided with my marriage to Jenny and the piece became a kind of wedding present to her.

This new recording with the Modern Guitar Trio is my favourite version to date. The melodies are very direct and simple and although I still enjoy the ECO recording the guitar trio give the pieces all the intimacy they really desire.

The Modern Guitar Trio: Roland Chadwick, Roland Gallery and Vincent Lindsay-Clark.

Recording Engineer: Paul Bailey

Recording Location: Mill House Studio, Kent.

This recording is dedicated to Joy and Brian Glaisher at Mill House.
