Ron Aprea Sextet...Remembering Blakey (A Tribute to Art Blakey) by Ron Aprea
Great touch on the sax man. Mix is great. Sounds remastered from the 40's 50's if you get my drift. Hope we can share the stage one day. Be blessed my friend.

Classy Jazz
I gotta say I am pleasantly surprised to hear such great classic style Jazz these days such as what I just heard from the Ron Aprea Sextet today. Glad I was introduced to this fine recording, now I need to share this with my amazing Jazz Trumpeter brother!!!

Wow! What an amazing cd. The musicianship is tops while the arranging, production and engineering are impeccable. Deserving of the highest accolades in all categories. A "Must Have" for all who appreciate the artistry and dedication required of a jazz musician.

Ron Aprea Sextet "Remembering Blakey".
Outstanding example of straight ahead jazz... Every player is outstanding.... Ron Aprea's arrangements are the best as usual... A must in your jazz collection. Also check out his previous CD "Swinging with Legends" for the best big band arranging, composing, vocals, solos. Both CD's are a must have. "The Real Deal!"

Amazing Jazz Album
Obviously recorded by a Jazz Master. Ballads are great and the uptempo stuff really cooks. The Sax player is all over the neck and the mix is amazing. I loved it!
